Our Programs
Sonography, an ever-evolving profession, offers practitioners many opportunities to enhance and advance their careers. Sonographers can specialize in such diverse areas as the abdomen, obstetrics and gynecology, echocardiography, vascular technology, neurobiology, and ophthalmology.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging Education prepares its graduates for employment in magnetic resonance
imaging by providing a learning experience in (classroom, lab, and clinical) that parallels the skills and level
of competency necessary to function as an entry-level MRI Technologist.
The Medical Assisting program aims to train students to acquire multiple skills necessary for successful
employment in any capacity of this discipline at all healthcare facilities. The different capacities in which a
Medical Assistant may obtain work as Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy Technician, EKG Technician, and
Patient Care Technician.
Patient Care Technician develop skills required through the academic and laboratory coursework and practical externship necessary for quality performance. Phlebotomy, EKG, performing catheterization, performing routine test, recording vital signs and delivering patient care, CPR, nursing assistant skill enhancement, cardiac monitoring, unit data management and other tasks related to patient care.
Electrocardiogram Technician program is to train students to acquire skills necessary for successful employment in any capacity of this discipline at any healthcare facility. The electrocardiogram represents the reading of the electrical activity of the heart.
Today, phlebotomy, although no longer considered curative, is necessary to diagnose and treat disease. Phlebotomy primarily aims to obtain blood specimens by venipuncture (puncturing the vein) or dermal puncture (puncturing the skin). Another role of the phlebotomist is to remove blood from donors for blood transfusions.
The Certified Nursing Assistant program is designed to prepare students to function in the traditional nursing assistant role in nursing centers, hospitals, and home care agencies. AMG believes that an ethical, legal, and imperative obligation exists to provide students with the necessary education and training for safe, effective, and sensitive functioning as nursing assistants.
This course is designed to prepare students to function in assisted Living, aiding residents with administering oral, inhalation, topical, and instillation routes medication under the direct supervision of licensed personnel in the State of New Jersey.
